The Fuji Photo Film Co. Ltd was founded in January 1934 with the view to manufacturing photo film in Japan. Within one month, operations commenced at the Ashigara Factory for the production of photographic film, printing paper, dryplate, and other photographic sensitive material.

However, the business grew steadily in a range of directions as a result of its continuous innovative technical advancements.

Today, with more than 75,000 employees worldwide working in Fuji owned subsidiaries, FUJIFILM Corporation continues to be a leading technology imaging innovator providing high quality products and service that meets the critical standards demanded by consumers, retailers and professionals.
